Leap Year Letter to Myself

Dear Future Me,

Today is Monday, February 29th, 2016. I am 26 years old and a Teacher at EPiC Elementary in Liberty, MO. Kyle and I have been married 2.5 years, we have lived in our house in Lee's Summit for a little over 3 years. Charlie just turned 4 this past Fall. We've had a great year traveling the country (me) and the world (Kyle!). We enjoy playing golf, trying new (and old favorite) places to eat, going to the lake, walking Charlie, traveling to new cities, and spending time together. We attend Church of the Resurrection weekly, but don't do anything beyond just Sunday's. I hope that changes when we have kids!

Other notable happenings in 2016 so far: My Grandma Dorothy is getting ready to leave this Earth for Heaven. It's a sad time, but I've also watched her fight cancer for 4 years. It's time for her to go be with Jesus. In joyous news, Stacey and Alex are about to give us our first "Haberberger" Niece or Nephew in September!

In four years, I hope to be...a mom. More than anything, I hope to be a mom. I would like to think we will have at least one child, and possibly two. I'll be 30 turning 31 in just a few weeks. I also hope to be teaching closer to home! I just hope I'm content in whatever I happen to be doing. I don't know what that might be! I hope that we will continue to travel! I'd love to take our kids to the beach each year, and for Kyle and I to go to Europe for our 5 year anniversary. Hawaii is definitely on my list of places to visit as well. I love our house, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have moved in 4 years. I could see us staying in Lee's Summit, or moving to OverlandPark/Leawood. Whatever we do, I just hope we still feel at home. I reallllllly hope I'm not driving a mini-van in 4 years! I want to keep my hair long and not cut it just because I'm a mom.

Happy Leap Day!
